Just like that, Friday night lights are back for the Rangers.
The State Champs headed into its bye week, beating its bitter rivals, the Pieper Warriors, 27-17.
Junior running back Caleb Peagler scored two vital touchdowns, including the first of the game for the Rangers.
“Going into the game, I knew we had to set the tone early. We had a great week of practice leading up. I was just focused on my job leading up to the snap,” said Peagler.
The team has had a great start to the season, boasting a 4-1 record, with one being a hard-fought 30-21 defeat to Brennan High School.
They continue to keep their poise and will be able to keep their season riding high and looking to repeat their previous glory. Running like a family and working around the clock, putting in the time and effort that this program is all about.
The Rangers look to take on the Wagner Thunderbirds this Friday at D.W., 7 p.m.
“None of this happens without them (coaches and teammates),” said Peagler. “We are just getting started.”
