Baseball

The Rangers defeated Kerrville Tivy 3-1 on the 18th. Their next game is at Veterans Memorial on the 22nd at 7 p.m.

 

Softball

The Rangers continue their win streak by winning against Veterans Memorial 10-0. Their next game will be against the Hays Hawks on the 25th at 6:30 p.m.

 

Track

Track has had an exceptional run, with multiple athletes qualifying for the state meet, which will take place on Tuesday, May 2. Here are the results from the area meet.

Senior Kalten Guerra is currently ranked ninth in both Region III and Region IV for assists per game, with an impressive average of 5.3. He also holds a top-five spot in the Texas 5A Division and is ranked number one in 5A Region IV District 26. Posing for a picture as Area Champs, the softball team deafeated South San Antonio for the second time sweeping them in the series 2-0. The team will look to play Liberty Hill this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at home and on Friday at Liberty Hill at 5:00 p.m.

Softball, baseball step up to playoffs
The golf team will compete at state Monday at the Legacy Hills Golf Club. Golfers including as Zach Seader, Aiden Page, Anniiston Mcllwain, Cole Cantu, and Ryan Griff will represent the boys team, while Sayers Allen will play.

Senior Cole Cantu scored a total of 160 points for the boys golf team to once again be named region champions. Cantu will attend UIW to play golf.

Junior Avianna Miller placed second in triple jump at districts, jumping 35-11.50. She also placed fifth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.67, third in the 200m dash with a time of 25.53, and lastly first in the 4x100 with a time of 47.62. Miller will be seen at Area competing in triple jump, the 200m dash, and the 4x100 looking to advance to Regionals.
